Pilgrims pack into Taunton church

Hundreds of pilgrims packed into the small church of St Teresa of Lisieux’s in Taunton today to visit the relics of St Therese. They’ve come from North Devon, Warminster, Weston, Salisbury, Minehead, Wellington, Bridgwater and beyond…

About the visit of St Therese, Phil Jones from the nearby parish of St George’s said: “Hopefully it will improve our prayer life and the prayer life of the family of the Church. St Therese didn’t like formal prayer which suits me fine – she (like me) preferred a conversation direct with God.”
