Oxford Oratory Arrival

Originally uploaded by Catholic Church (England and Wales).

For the first time during the whole tour St Therese’s relics arrived in the pouring rain at the Oxford Oratory. This did not deter pilgrims who queued along at least 100 metres up Woodstock road. The narrow archway and entrance to the Oratory required a well organised operation for the bearers of the reliquary. When the reliquary arrived the church was already full to the brim, holding probably about 500-600 people sitting and standing in every space available.
